Depression care with compassion
Your care for mental well-being can begin here, with compassion and faith as part of the work. If depression has been weighing down your days, I’ll work with you in a way that feels steady and personal.
What people bring me
People often come in feeling flat, tired, and disconnected from the parts of life that used to matter. Work, family, and simple routines can start to feel harder than they should. Some people describe moving through the day on autopilot, or feeling guilty for not being able to shake it. Others know something is off but can’t quite put it into words. The strain can show up in sleep, motivation, focus, and relationships.
- I feel heavy all the time.
- Nothing feels enjoyable anymore.
- I’m getting through the day, but barely.
- I keep pulling away from everyone.
I provide compassionate and personalized care, joined with faith and practical support.
How I work with it
I start with a careful conversation about what you’re carrying and what feels most urgent. From there, we look at the practical parts of care, including medication management when that fits, and the way your thoughts, habits, and daily pressures are affecting you. I also draw on cognitive behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing when they fit your goals and the pace you want to work at. If faith is important to you, I can hold that alongside the rest of the work.
- Medication Management
- This can help us look at whether medication belongs in your care and how it fits with what you’re already experiencing. I pay attention to what you notice day to day, not just a checklist.
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
- We look at the thoughts and routines that keep the low mood feeling stuck. The work is practical and grounded in real situations from your week.
- Motivational Interviewing
- This helps when part of you wants change and another part feels worn out or unsure. I use it to slow things down and look at what matters to you.
What the first sessions look like
The first sessions focus on what life has looked like lately, what feels hardest, and what you want support with. I’ll ask about your history, your current stressors, and anything else that may be adding to the load, and you do not have to arrive with the right words already in place.
I offer a free 15-minute consultation. I reply as soon as I can, usually within 1 business day.
Questions people ask
Can therapy for depression include medication management too?
Yes, medication management can be part of the work when it makes sense for your care. We talk through what you’ve tried, what you’re noticing, and what support you’re looking for.
What if I can’t explain why I feel this way?
That’s common, and you don’t need a polished explanation to start. We can begin with how your days have been feeling and build from there.
Do you work with people who feel numb instead of sad?
Yes, many people describe depression that way. I pay attention to the ways it shows up in energy, interest, and daily life, not just in one feeling.
Will faith be part of my sessions?
Only if it matters to you and fits the way you want to work. My approach is compassionate and personalized, and I can include faith without forcing it.
