Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) Care for Focus and Follow-Through
I work with ADHD when distractibility, restlessness, or unfinished tasks have started to affect school, work, home, or relationships. We’ll sort through what’s happening, what has helped before, and what kind of support fits the way you live.

What people bring me
People often come in when they feel scattered, behind, or worn out by trying to keep up. Tasks pile up, details slip, and even simple plans can take more effort than they should. Some feel stuck in a cycle of starting strong and then losing track halfway through. Others have been managing for years and are only now realizing how much energy it takes.
- I start ten things and finish none of them.
- I keep losing track of what I was doing.
- I’m always late, even when I try hard.
- I forget things right after I think of them.
I look at the whole pattern, including what gets in the way of follow-through.
How I work with it
I use conversation and clinical assessment to understand symptoms, health history, and what has or has not helped before. Your plan may include medication management, brief CBT or motivational interviewing informed counseling, or a combination of these services. I explain the options, answer your questions, and revisit the plan as I learn more about what is affecting you. If medication is part of the discussion, I monitor how things are going and keep the plan open to review.
- Medication Management
- For ADHD, medication management is part of looking at attention, follow-through, and daily functioning together. I keep track of how the plan is going and adjust the discussion as I learn more.
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
- Brief CBT informed counseling can be useful for routines, planning, and the habits that keep daily life organized. We focus on practical steps and what’s getting in the way right now.
- Motivational Interviewing
- This helps when motivation comes and goes or when it’s hard to keep a plan going. I use it to sort through what matters most and what feels realistic.
- Pharmacogenetic Testing
- If medication selection needs more information, I may discuss this as part of the process. It can help guide choices when we’re looking more closely at medication.
What the first sessions look like
The first sessions focus on how attention, organization, and follow-through are affecting your day. I ask about your history, what you’ve tried before, and what has or has not helped. You don’t need a perfect explanation or a complete timeline to begin.
I offer a free 15-minute consultation. I reply as soon as I can, usually within 1 business day.
Questions people ask
Do you offer ADHD therapy or medication management?
I provide psychiatric assessment, medication management, and brief counseling for ADHD. The plan can include one of those pieces or a combination, depending on what fits.
What do you ask about in an ADHD first visit?
I ask about attention, organization, follow-through, and what that looks like in everyday life. We also go over your health history and what has or has not helped before.
Can you help if I’ve managed this on my own for years?
Yes, that’s common in the people I see. We can talk about how much effort it’s taken and what has changed recently.
Will the plan only be medication?
Not necessarily. Your plan may include medication management, brief CBT or motivational interviewing informed counseling, or a combination of these services.
